I was running late for rehearsal because I decided to walk in the nice weather, but then I got stuck behind some random guy out on the street. And then what was even more random was his stopping habit.
I mean seriously, right out of nowhere he stops and I ran into him. It's not like I was walking slow enough to break before the collision, so obviously I fell on my ass.
"Ow," I groaned and leaned over slightly, rubbing the delicate flesh I probably just bruised. I looked up at him and he still just looked around clueless, resembling a deer in the headlights. The only irony is the fact that I'm the deer knocked over, not him.
"Sorry," he turned and extended a hand to me.
I caved in and took his hand, and despite the cold weather, it was oddly warm.
"I didn't mean to stop like that," he brushed off my shoulders and sleeves and now I was so damn confused.
Not only was it weird that we were the only two walking outside this early, but I wouldn't go around him. What the hell? Why him? It annoys me sometimes how my brain works. Or rather, lack thereof.
He actually didn't even wait for an acceptance to his apology before he left, he turned on his heel and was off in a flash. He didn't look directly at me that entire time, either. Maybe he really did feel bad about it.
Anyway, I ran to the building and managed to be only twenty minutes late.
They laughed at me.
"Does Hee Junna need glasses?" he laughed. "You wouldn't have run into him if you could see him."
"I think he was daydreaming."
"Maybe he was just thinking up some choreography?"
I'm glad that there was atleast someone who cared about my feelings enough to defend me. Not to say that I needed it or anything.
I cleared my throat. Unlike them, I noticed that I was still in the room.
"Shall we begin?"
They nodded and walked to their starting positions.
"And next time you feel like laughing at me, make sure it's actually funny."
That omitted a smile from the dark-haired boy next to me. And I didn't know why, but it always made my day a little better. His smile just brightened my day, and with that, the entire room seemed brighter.
Damn, sounds like love.
And let me tell you, that's one hell of a story, maybe I'll write about it sometime. I'd do it now, but that's not this story, that's another book.
Anyway, now back to focussing (I really need to work on that).
The music came on and we continued on our three weeks of practice, four times a week and I love every minute of it, everyone deserves to see the best of us, even those who don't like us.
"Stop," I turned around. "Woo Hyuk, go over the dance with Tony, Kangta, go over it with Jae; I'll be right back."
I can't believe it, this entire time I was practicing and I didn't notice that I wasn't wearing my armband. When I was on my way here I was just holding it and I must've forgotten to put it on. I went and looked in my bag.
Yeah, not there. How did I know? That jerk I ran into may be the reason I dropped it. Great, just fabulous. Well, it's too late to go look for it now, maybe I'll just get a new one tomorrow before practice.
We practiced another hour or so before we called it quits for the day.
I was just leaving the building when someone stopped me by tapping my shoulder. I turned around, and to my surprise, that fantastic smile of the dark-haired mystery man had greeted me. He looked nervous though and it made me chuckle. Our fourth album and he's still nervous? Ridiculous.
"H-hey," he stuttered. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt: it's cold.
"Hello," I smiled simplistically, god forbid I look ecstatic to see him. Happy, maybe. Overly excited? No. "Do you need something?"
He shook his head. "I was just wondering what you were doing later?"
I shrugged. I somewhat don't feel like hanging out with my bandmates outside of rehearsal. I tend to spend my time wisely.
There was a long pause.
Aren't you going to ask me to hang out later or what? Let's get the rejection over with already.
"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow," he waved and walked away.
Jerk. If I could see it, it being the grin on his face, I would yell at him for practically rejecting me before there was an invitation extended anywhere.
Amazing. Unbelievable. I went and treated myself to something to eat and then went home to take a nap. It's only noon. What should I do with the rest of my day?
I went to a strip club, yes, because they're open for the losers like me who don't quite have anything better to do at noon. Actually, it's not noon anymore by this time, it's actually 1500 hours, but who cares, it's still open.
Anyway, now that I found something to do, I'll skip ahead to what I feel like reliving.
Ten minutes later I got to leave because they realized I went all ten minutes wihout paying. What happened to free entertainment?
So I left and now it was only 1510, what the hell is there to do at 3 o'clock? I'll go run around the store, splendid idea.
"Can I help you, sir?" I heard a disstressed voice from behind me.
I had been riding around on a cart like a child normall would. I suppose he was running or walking quickly to keep up with me.
"No, I'm perfectly fine. Thanks," oooh, hairdye.
"Sir, please let me help you," damn, he's still following me?
"If you insist," I shrugged. "Push the cart when I tell you to."
I didn't move, I was riding, but apparently he assumed I'd relocate. He finally deduced that I wasn't going to move and wrapped his hands around the cart handle bar. Our bodies were pressed so close together that it felt weird; I didn't care.
"Okay, go slowly," I commanded. I love looking at hairdye, but I noticed he was going too fast for me to look at it all. And instead of telling him to slow down, I kicked him. Maybe not the nicest thing I could've done, but it certainly wasn't the worst.
He grunted and momentarily stopped; I guess I hit something precious. "Sorry," he mumbled.
"For what?"
"Going too fast."
"How do you know I didn't twitch?"
"If randomly kicking someone in the balls is your twitching, then that's amazing."
Ahah, something precious indeed. He's got a good point, too.
"I guess it's payback for earlier."
Payback? Earlier? What? I turned around to see a face that would soon make me flabberghasted.
"You! You're the one who knocked me over! I knew that your 'sorry' sounded familiar!" What are we, stalkers? "Is that why you were so insistant on helping me?"
"Kind of," his face was so blank, I couldn't tell whether he's lying or not.
"Kind of sorta?"
He nodded.
"But not really. So why?"
"I don't feel like working anywhere else."
"Oh."
Disappointing.
"Push slowly this time," I emphasized the entire statement and then whispered the rest. "Otherwise your other ball won't feel too good..." I let out a breath of disappointment and we went onward.
"You don't look good with blue," he tilted his head in examination.
"Should I just stay blonde?"
"For now, maybe a little darker if you really want to dye your hair today."
"Nah, I only wanted to dye my hair blue, I'll just wait since you said no."
"Okay," he looked right at me and smiled.
I smiled back before returning both dyes. "Thank you for your help...?"
"Alex."
I extended my hand for an introductory called for handshake. "Pleasure to meet you, Alex. Thank you for your help."
